I have always found books to be very motivational in helping me do anything. A great way to help you overcome your resistance to exercise and activity is to always keep a book on hand that is motivational regarding exercise.
I don’t know what it is but whenever I have a motivational book that I am working through on some aspect of my life, be it exercise, eating, money, etc., I tend to do far better. In other words, it helps me to focus tremendously when a good book is constantly feeding me motivation.

Remember, this blog is all about getting you out the front door and into an activity in order to help manage your diabetes. Whatever it takes, we’re going to do it, right?

Speaking of Younger Next Year, this is a wonderful book by Chris Crowley. One day I picked this book up and began reading it. I could not put it down. He writes in such a clever and witty way that it drew me in and even though I hate to exercise, this book alone got me started. Let me say that one more time… This book alone got me started.
This book is chock full of motivational wisdom, hilarious stories, and text that is designed to rocket you out your front door.

This book so moved me that I recommend that it to quite a few of my friends, and they all loved it. As a matter of fact, even today, after several years, we will all check up on each other and say “have you had a younger next year week?”

Get and read this book.
