Another amazing way to get off the couch and out the door is by taking a walking tour.
We were in Chicago recently for a convention and the weather was simply amazing. You know the type of days, I’m sure … temp in the low 70s, slight breeze, just perfection.
I’ve always been a huge Frank Lloyd Wright fan, loving his architecture, when I discovered there was a walking tour of some of his homes in Oak Park, a suburb of Chicago. We had a ball, walking and enjoying the incredible architecture that spread before us. (The walking tour map cost $5.95, what a bargain!)

Walking tours do not have to be exotic or expensive in order to be effective. There probably are walking tours in your home city and if not, there are walking tours in a city near you.
The beauty of a walking tour is that they are often highly interesting and you also get the benefit of exercise. During my Europe trip, I did not notice all of my walking because we had so many interesting places to visit and things to see. A walking tour is a great way to ease you into walking if you’re just too stubborn to do it any other way… And some of us are, aren’t we?:-)
